Believing In What You're Praying

Have you ever prayed for something without believing God would answer your prayer?

I certainly have.

I used to wonder how someone could pray without having faith that prayer would be answered.

As I got older, I learned that it was actually quite easy to do. Sometimes we get so caught up in asking for things that we forget to have faith and believe God will answer those prayers.

It's also easier to believe that He will answer the small things and we forget He has the power to answer the big prayers too.

Lately, the Lord has been dealing with me about some prayers that I have prayed without believing in faith they would be answered. Some of them are small prayers while others are quite large requests. Many are prayers I have prayed since I was a little girl and others I have only prayed for a few weeks.

I'm learning that just because a prayer hasn't been answered yet doesn't mean it won't be.

Though it is extremely hard to wait for the answer, we must believe that God will provide it in his time. If we pray without believing then how do we expect God to answer those prayers?

"But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him." ~Hebrews 11:6

This verse clearly states that we must believe God is able and that without faith it is impossible to please him.

Pray in faith.

Believe what you're praying is possible.

Don't doubt the God who can do anything.
