When we're children we rely on other people to be our strength. To hold us tight when we're hurting. To remind us that everything is going to be ok.
As adults, it's we no longer have that "strength" or guidance.
We have to learn to do things on our own or so we think.
That's not how it works with God. Your age doesn't matter to Him. He wants to be your strength every second of every day. Whether you're going through a valley or everything seems perfect, He wants to be your strong tower.
"But the salvation of the righteous is of the Lord: he is their strength in the time of trouble." Ps. 37:39
It is our human tendency to try and do everything on our own. Even when something is hard to do, we tell ourselves we can do it alone. We don't!
God is the only strength we need.
I could write all day and never tell all the times the Lord has been my strength.
Every time I needed Him He was always there.
There is only one thing I ever regretted, was not asking for His strength sooner.
All the days of pain that could have been avoided had I simply asked for his help.
He is my salvation and my strong tower.
Nothing that I go through is ever too hard for Him.
His strength never runneth out.
I never have to worry about whether or not he's gonna catch me when I fall.
His strength is so much bigger than any trial we may be facing.
"Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness." Isaiah 41:10
He is our help when things are not going the way we planned.
When we feel like we can't go on, he holds us safely in his hand.
He is with us through every high and every low and gives us the strength we need to carry on.
When life gets hard, don't wait to ask the Lord for strength.
You don't have to go through this alone. He wants to be your strength and help.
Reminds me of a couple verses that I love...
Psalm 62:6-8 He only is my rock and my salvation: he is my defence; I shall not be moved.
In God is my salvation and my glory: the rock of my strength, and my refuge, is in God.
Trust in him at all times; ye people, pour out your heart before him: God is a refuge for us. Selah.
